The first Polymer80 build: a complete shopping list in one order

A first build fails on missing parts more than on technique. This is the one-order list for a PF940C compact pistol; swap the model for any other frame.

1. The frame kit

PF940C 80% frame kit. Includes the frame, front locking block rail, rear rail module, jig, 3 mm and 9 mm drill bits and 9 mm end mill.

2. Lower parts kit

A G19 Gen 3 lower parts kit: trigger and bar, trigger housing, connector, springs, slide stop, slide lock, magazine catch, locking block, pins.

3. Slide, barrel, recoil

A complete G19 Gen 3 slide assembly, or a stripped slide plus barrel, recoil spring assembly, striker parts and sights.

4. Magazine

Any G19 magazine.

5. Tools you supply

Drill, vise, flat file, safety glasses, cutting oil. A drill press is optional for pistol frames.

What you do not need

A second set of rails (they are in the kit), a separate jig (also in the kit), or a Gen 4 or Gen 5 slide (they will not fit).

Time

An evening for the frame, an hour to install the parts kit, ten minutes for the slide. The second build takes half that.
